I got the product as described and was pleased with the packaging and included cables for my iPhone 3Gs. There were other cables included for other devices too - never used them, but glad they came with my product. I ordered this product as I was leaving with a mission relief team to Haiti. I got the charger in time for my trip. I understand solar powered products take a long time to charge, but I wish the solar technology was little better.

Fortunately, we had electric in most places we traveled. I ended up using my iPhone wall charger plug to charge the solar unit quickly. This is a great feature to optionally charge the unit via USB. I then had my solio as a reserve battery charger. This worked great - I had to use it 2 different times for that instance and it kept my phone running.

I would recommend this product even if you are on vacation or some outing all day. It comes in handy as a quick battery charger as taking pics, video, and running 3G will tax your iPhone battery. I also purchased a small portable zippered case at Walmart - actually used for portable hardrives. This was the perfect size for storing the solio and cables.

I'll use it next time I travel out of the country or even to Disney World. Just remember, the solar charging is s-l-o-w (thus the 4 stars), but the USB charging is a big plus.

This is a rather deceptive solar Product. In order to fully charge this unit it requires over 22 hours in direct sunlight (not through a window or a cloudy day) so really your plugging it in for 4 hours to be a spare battery. Definately not worth the time and money
